Tim Miller is attached to direct an adaptation of Joe Haldeman’s short sci-fi tale, Seasons, Deadline reports. The tale, collected in the author’s anthology “Dealing in Futures,” follows an ethnographic expedition to an alien world that winds up going terribly wrong.
Although Miller has not yet made his directorial debut, he remains attached to 20th Century Fox’s adaptation of the Marvel Comics character Deadpool and Warner Bros. Pictures’ adaptation of Warren Ellis’ Gravel.
Set up at Sony, Seasons will be drafted by Sebastian Gutierrez and produced by Michael De Luca with Alissa Phillips executive producing.
Haldeman is best known for his Vietnam War allegory The Forever War. That novel is planned for a feature adaptation with Ridley Scott attached to helm.
