The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part may not be coming until 2019, but Warner Bros.wants to make sure that the Master Builder and his friends are still fresh in everyone’s minds when the sequel finally arrives. That’s why LEGO and Turkish Airlines have joined forces for a new airline safety video that features Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, and Will Arnett reprising their roles from The LEGO Movie as Emmet Brickowski, Wyldstyle, and LEGO Batman, respectively.
Other returning LEGO Movie characters include Princess Unikitty (Alison Brie), Benny the astronaut, and Metalbeard the pirate. The LEGO Batman Movie‘s Robin (Michael Cena) and Joker (Zach Galifianakis) also get in on the fun, while The LEGO Ninjago Movie’s Lloyd Garmadon (Dave Franco) also makes an appearance. Be on the lookout for other familiar faces as well, as Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, and more make cameo appearances throughout the clip.
It’s a pretty funny way to revisit the LEGO Movie characters even if it is a shameless ad for The LEGO Movie 2. The upcoming sequel will be set five years after the conclusion of the first film, as the formerly idealized LEGO town known as Bricksburg has been transformed by the alien Duplo invaders. When the movie begins, a new invader going by the name of Sweet Mayhem will kidnap Wyldstyle, Batman, MetalBeard, Princess Unikitty and Benny; which will force Emmett to once again rediscover his Master Builder skills in order to save his friends. Joining the returning cast members are Tiffany Haddish as Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi, Stephanie Beatriz as Sweet Mayhem, Arturo Castro as Ice Cream Cone, and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn.
The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will arrive in theaters on February 8, 2019.
