Already a huge hit in Great Britain, the feature film adaptation of the popular series “The Inbetweeners” is slated to hit U.S. theaters on September 7th. Now, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that series co-creator Iain Morris has become attached to develop an American feature film version at Paramount Pictures.
Likened to American Pie, The Inbetweeners is a racy comedy about four uncool friends (Will, Jay, Simon and Neil) who go on their first vacation to Greece in search of high times and wild sex – with no parents, no teachers, no money, and little to no chance with the ladies.
Morris, who created the series with Damon Beesley, will both write and direct the American version which, the trade hints, may end up getting released under a different title.
