Mary Elizabeth Winstead has joined Aaron Paul in the cast of The Parts You Lose
Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Fargo, 10 Cloverfield Lane) has joined the cast of Christopher Cantwell’s The Parts You Lose, starring Emmy Award winner Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, Eye in the Sky) and newcomer Danny Murphy. The news was announced by The H Collective today. The Parts You Lose is financed by The H Collective with Academy Award-winning producer Mark Johnson (Rain Man, Breaking Bad) producing under his Gran Via banner with Tom Williams and Aaron Paul. Principal photography began today in Winnipeg, Canada.
Written by Darren Lemke, The Parts You Lose follows the unlikely friendship that unfolds between a young deaf boy, Wesley, and a fugitive criminal who takes refuge in an abandoned barn on the family’s rural North Dakota farm. After forming a deep bond with the man, Wesley must decide where to place his allegiances when the authorities begin to close in on the fugitive. Winstead will play Wesley’s mother Gail.
“We are extremely pleased to begin production on our first film just six months after launching The H Collective,” says CEO Nic Crawley. “Mary Elizabeth is a wonderful addition to the film and we are proud to have assembled such a talented group who will breathe life into this project.”
Winstead is best known starring in films such as 10 Cloverfield Lane, Smashed, and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. She recently appeared in the critically-acclaimed third season of the FX crime-thriller Fargo as well as the PBS period drama Mercy Street. Winstead recently wrapped production on Eva Vives’ All About Nina, starring opposite Common.
