Amazon has announced the movie and TV titles coming to Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Channels in December. The Amazon December 2017 line-up includes two highly-regarded Amazon Original Series and one Amazon Original holiday special exclusively for Prime members to stream or download at no additional cost to their membership.
The Grand Tour S2: The Amazon Original Unscripted Series stars Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, and follows the men rampaging around the world having unusual adventures, driving amazing cars, and engaging in a constant argument about which of them is the biggest idiot. In addition to HD and SD, The Grand Tour S2 will also be available in HDR on compatible HDR devices. (Dec. 8)
Jean-Claude Van Johnson S1: The Amazon Original Series stars Jean-Claude Van Damme playing “Jean-Claude Van Damme”, a global martial arts & film sensation, also operating under the simple alias of “Johnson” as the world’s best undercover private contractor. Retired for years, a chance encounter with a lost love brings him back to the game. In addition to HD and SD, Jean-Claude Van Johnson S1 will also be available in HDR on compatible HDR devices. Pete the Cat: A Groovy New Year Holiday Special: The Amazon Original Series Holiday Special follows the story of Pete the Cat and his search for a New Year’s Resolution. With the help of his family and friends, Pete sets out on a fun, musical ride to find one. (Dec. 26)
In addition to Amazon Originals, licensed TV series coming to Prime Video next month include season one of BBC’s sci-fi drama Class and season 6 of MTV’s hit-action series Teen Wolf. Additionally, as part of the 20th anniversary re-release of Titanic (Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet) in theaters, Amazon is giving fans another way to binge the beloved classic starting in December on Prime Video. Subscribers can also catch romcoms like The Heartbreak Kid (Ben Stiller), as well as popular titles like Brothers Grimm (Matt Damon and Heath Ledger) and Nightcrawler (Jake Gyllenhaal) with existing films on Prime Video. Live streaming of Thursday Night Football on Prime Video continues in December with match-ups including Saints vs. Falcons (Dec. 7), Broncos vs. Colts (Dec. 14), and a Christmas Day special with Steelers vs. Texans.
Amazon Video also welcomes the new drama film Stronger, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Tatiana Maslany.
Next month through Amazon Channels, Prime members subscribed to Cinemax can enjoy blockbuster hits like Independence Day: Resurgence and War Dogs. Fans seeking cheap thrills can watch Logan and Unforgettable on HBO or get ready for the holiday season by streaming classics like Home Alone (STARZ), While You Were Sleeping (Showtime), and Christmas Eve (Showtime).
