June 13, 2017: Blu-ray, Digital HD and DVD This Week

We’re kicking the week off with a pair of exclusive featurette clips from two recent big screen releases that are debuting on Digital HD June 13. In the top player below, you can take a look at how Bill Hader lent his voice to Power Rangers‘ Alpha 5. Then, just beneath that, you can explore the cinematic reunion that is Danny Boyle’s T2 Trainspotting.

Other recent big screen releases include the drama 3 Generations (starring Elle Fanning, Susan Sarandon and Naomi Watts), John Wick: Chapter 2 (featuring the return of Keanu Reeves as the world’s greatest hitman), the comic book adventure The LEGO Batman Movie, the military thriller Mine (starring Armie Hammer) and the ensemble comedy Table 19.

Arriving on DVD only June 13 is the animated adventure Americano, the period war drama Bitter Harvest, the Harlem set drama Chapter & Verse and the family comedy Un Padre No Tan Padre (From Dad to Worse).

Arriving direct to home entertainment, Dragonheart: Battle For the Heartfire continues the Dragonheart franchise with an all-new fourth chapter.

Warner Archive turns its attention to the cross country race ensemble The Gumball Rally, bringing to Blu-ray for the first time the 1976 comedy.

The Criterion Collection this week returns to director Nicholas Ray with a Blu-ray edition of his 1948 film noir They Live By Night.

Shout! Factory has a treat for Transformers fans with Transformers: The Japanese Collection, bringing to DVD the original version of the animated series. They also expand the Shout! Select line with a Blu-ray edition of Cheech and Chong’s Next Movie and continue the Scream Factory label with Fred Olen Ray’s schlocky 1990 sci-fi Alienator.

Other small screen releases hitting June 13 include both the twelfth and final season of Bones alongside a complete series set. Likewise, you’ll find the sixth and final season of Grimm alongside a complete series set. There’s no complete series yet, but June 13 also brings home the eighth and final season of The Vampire Diaries. Meanwhile, Power gets a third season release and South Park releases its recent 20th season. Then, on DVD only, you can catch a complete series set of Showtime’s The Borgias.

Rounding out this week’s television titles is a Wild, Wild West double feature, pairing two telefilms (Wild Wild West Revisited and More Wild Wild West) that aired more than a decade after the original show went off the air.

Other Digital HD releases hitting June 13 include the violent thriller The Belko Experiment and the R-rated television show adaptation CHIPS.
