Armie Hammer Joins Sheldon Turner’s By Virtue Fall

Deadline is reporting that actor Armie Hammer, most recently seen as Leonardo DiCaprio’s partner and confidante Clyde Tolson in Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar, will be joining Eric Bana in By Virtue Fall, the directorial debut by Up in the Air co-writer Sheldon Turner, playing a framed ATF agent sent to prison who seeks revenge on his former partner who framed him, played by Eric Bana.

Before shooting the dark drama next fall, Hammer will be playing the title role in Gore Verbinski’s The Lone Ranger opposite Johnny Depp’s Tonto. Early next year, he’ll be seen as Prince Charming in Tarsem’s family comedy Mirror Mirror opposite Julia Roberts, but most will know Hammer for his role playing the Winklevoss twins in David Fincher’s Oscar-nominated The Social Network.

They’re reporting that Hammer plans on bulking up for the role.
