Director James Wan just tweeted a pic from the first day of shooting on the Aquaman set
Director James Wan (Insidious, The Conjuring) just tweeted the very first Aquaman set pic from the upcoming Warner Bros./DC Comics film. He said, “Months of intensive prep have led to this. Here we go. #DayOne #Ahab.” As you may know, “Ahab” is the working title for the film. Jason Momoa stars as the titular superhero who was first seen in a brief cameo in the film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He’s expected to play a much larger role in the forthcoming Justice League, set to hit theaters November 17, 2017. The Zack Snyder film will also introduce Amber Heard as Mera, Queen of Atlantis. You can check out the very first pic from the Aquaman set below. The photo shows what looks to be the inside of a submarine.

Jason Momoa is joined in the film by Amber Heard as Mera, Queen of Atlantis, Nicole Kidman as Aquaman’s mother, Atlanna, Temuera Morrison as Aquaman’s father, Patrick Wilson as Aquaman’s brother, Orm (aka Ocean Master), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, and Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus. Aquaman will hit theaters on December 21, 2018.
Aquaman’s first appearance was in More Fun Comics #73 (November 1941) and was created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger. An icon for over 70 years, Aquaman is the King of the Seven Seas. This reluctant ruler of Atlantis, caught between a surface world constantly ravaging the sea and Atlanteans looking to lash out in revolt, is committed to protecting the entire globe.
Does the pic from the Aquaman set get you excited for the upcoming film? What do you think of Jason Momoa in the role? Are you ready to see him in Justice League? Let us know in the comments or tweet us @ComingSoonnet.
