Cementing his return to the big screen, Arnold Schwarzenegger is already lining up a third new project. Deadline reports that the star is interested in the leading role for an indie action thriller called Captive.
Written by Kario Salem (The Score) and Benjamin Van Der Veen (Che), the storyline involves a wealthy American (the Schwarzenegger role) who is kidnapped in Brazil and held for ransom. Dual storylines have him trying to escape an armored truck and a detective working the case to find him.
Schwarzenegger just signed on for a “substantial” role in The Expendables 2 and will follow that production with the Western The Last Stand, filming in early 2012.
Captive is currently without a director, but that is expected to change in the very near future.
