Lionsgate has provided ComingSoon.net with an exclusive TV spot for Miracle director Gavin O’Connor’s upcoming Mixed Martial Arts action drama Warrior, starring Tom Hardy (Inception) and Joel Edgerton (Animal Kingdom) as brothers who make their own way through a high-stakes MMA competition in Atlantic City while trying to come to terms with years of family tension. It also stars Nick Nolte, Jennifer Morrison and WWE wrestler Kurt Angle.
We’ve already seen Warrior a couple of times ourselves, and it’s certainly one of the strongest sports films we’ve seen in some time and easily one of the best movies set in the world of Mixed Martial Arts. In fact, we’re proud to be one of the “critics who are cheering” about the movie!
Warrior opens in theaters on Friday, September 9, and will have national sneak previews over Labor Day weekend. Look for our review and an interview with O’Connor later this week.
