On Saturday, ComingSoon.net was given a first look at Summit Entertainment’s action-thriller The Darkest Hour, produced and conceptualized by Russian filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted), directed by Chris Gorak (Right At Your Door) and starring Emile Hirsch, Max Minghella, Rachael Taylor and Olivia Thirlby. (You can read our write-up of the presentation here.)
Later that day, we were given a chance for quick sit-down interviews with Gorak and Hirsch to talk about the experience of making the movie in Moscow, which at one point involved shutting down the city’s most famous landmark, Red Square.
We also talked quite a bit about how the movie differs from all of the other alien invasion movies coming out this year, so check out the two video interviews below.
The Darkest Hour opens on December 23.
