Having already pulled in more than $100 million internationally, director Ron Howard‘s latest is gearing up for its domestic debut in theaters this Friday, October 28.

Sony Pictures release, Inferno hails from Columbia Pictures and Imagine Entertainment and adapts Brown’s 2013 novel and serves as a sequel to Howard’s The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons with Tom Hanks returning as Robert Langdon.

Inferno finds the famous Harvard symbologist on a trail of clues tied to the great Dante Alighieri himself. When Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his lost memories. Together, the two of them must race across Europe and against a ticking clock in order to foil a deadly global plot.
