Warner Bros. Pictures has debuted a brand-new character poster for their upcoming Green Lantern, hitting theaters in 2D and 3D on June 17th. The new image, which debuted on the film’s official Facebook page, features Temuera Morrison as Abin Sur.
Abin Sur, once the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 (which contains the planet Earth), passes his ring along to Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) upon his death, enabling the pilot to take up the emerald mantle.
Directed by Martin Campbell, the film also stars Blake Lively, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett, Tim Robbins, Jay O. Sanders, Taika Waititi, Jon Tenney, Geoffrey Rush and Michael Clarke Duncan.
