Cameron Diaz appears likely to join the cast of What to Expect When You’re Expecting, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter.
The film, announced for development early last year, offers a series of intersecting stories inspired by the popular pregnancy guide by Heidi Murkoff.
Kirk Jones (Nanny McPhee and Waking Ned Devine) will direct a script by Shauna Cross (Whip It) and Heather Hach (the 2003 verion of Freaky Friday).
Diaz, who next appears in Bad Teacher, is said to play the host of a fitness show who, presumably, becomes pregnant. No other cast members have been announced, but expect more names to sign shortly as the aim is for an ensemble cast.
