Logan Lerman will play the lead in Seth Gordon’s drama The Only Living Boy in New York, Deadline reports.
The film, from an original script by Allan Loeb, is said to feature a boy who, after learning that his father is having an affair, also becomes romantically involved with the woman in question.
Gordon is best known for his debut documentary feature, The King of Kong. His next project is the raunchy Warner Bros. comedy Horrible Bosses. Loeb, meanwhile, scripted this year’s The Dilemma and Just Go With It with his next work hitting the small screen in the form of the “Terra Nova” pilot.
Lerman is best known for playing the title character in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and can next been seen as D’Artagnan in Paul W.S. Anderson’s The Three Musketeers.
Though there’s no specific word on how the title relates to the plot, The Only Living Boy in New York is a reference to a 1970 Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel track of their last studio album together, “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”
