The Green Lantern trailer will hit theaters on May 6th, attached to Marvel’s Thor, The LA Times has revealed. What’s more, the article explains that Warner Bros. is well aware that, up to this point, Green Lantern has been under-promoted and blames the delay on the extensive post production required for the massive science fiction world.
“We are on a learning curve,” says WB Pictures President Jeff Robinov, “in getting 3-D materials and marketing materials on the same schedule.”
The good news is that, with the trailer set to hit soon, it sounds like things are back on track and the studio promises that future footage will be all the more impressive for the wait.
“Part of the reason the response to the first trailer was lukewarm was that the big-scale sequences weren’t ready to show,” Marketing President Sue Kroll adds, “and we suffered for it. We can’t afford to do that again.”
Green Lantern arrives in 2D and 3D on June 17th.
