Nightmarish Stills, Gory Trailer For New UK Indie THE UNKINDNESS OF RAVENS

UK filmmaker returns with the ambitious THE UNKINDNESS OF RAVENS.

British indie filmmaker Lawrie Brewster made a splash a last year with his killer ‘owl man’ horror flick THE LORD OF TEARS, an elegant and atmospheric feature that received much acclaim.

Now, Brewster and his team are back at it, prepping the ultra-explicit (and lyrically titled) evil bird opus THE UNKINDNESS OF RAVENS.

“The film tells the story of a homeless army veteran besieged by a horde of demonic ravens in the highlands of Scotland,” Brewster says.

“It’s sort of APOCALYPSE NOW meets EVIL DEAD. It’s gritty, it’s weird and it’s deeply disturbing. We’re a small team passionate about telling original horror stories independently.”

Sounds great to us.

To finish the film, Brewster has turned to Kickstarter to raise the cash needed to make the movie awesome. The filmmaker has also received the endorsement of Alec Gillis from the Oscar-winning FX team Amalgamated Dynamics, the same company that produced FX for films like ALIENS, PREDATOR and STARSHIP TROOPERS as well as LET US PREY director Brian O’Malley.
