Contracted was a breath of fresh air for the zombie genre last year with its story of a woman (Najarra Townsend) who is infected with an STD that slowly turns her into a member of the undead. The film garnished strong reviews (read our’s here) and IFC Midnight has taken note – Contracted: Phase II is in production.
In the sequel, newly-infected stalker/boyfriend Riley (Matt Mercer) is in a race against time to find those responsible for the outbreak to save himself and possibly the world.
Infusing the sequel with fresh blood, IFC has turned to first timers Josh Forbes to directing from a script by Craig Walendziak. Alice MacDonald returns as friend Alice, along with Peter Cilella, Marianna Palka, Morgan Peter Brown, Laurel Vail, Anna Lore and Suzanne Voss.
