The latest series to be culled from a Robert Kirkman comic book – Outcast – is casting up big time. With Adam Winged at the helm of the first episode, the show will star Patrick Fugit and Philip Glenister. Deadline reports they’ll be joined by Reg E. Cathey, Julia Crockett, Wrenn Schmidt and Kip Pardue.
Fugit will star as Kyle Barnes, a young man plagued by demonic possession since he was a child.
Glenister as the hard drinking, hard gambling Reverend Anderson and Gabriel Bateman who will play the younger version of Barnes.
Per Deadline:
Cathey will play Giles, Romes Chief of Police and a poker buddy of Andersons. Although he doesnt believe in possession quite as strongly as Anderson, hes seen enough to know theres some truth to his friends assertions about demons. Crockett portrays Sarah Barns, Kyles mother, who makes young Kyles life a living hell. At first, this might seem like the result of mental illness. But Kyle will come to understand that its something more.
