The Orchard and Shock Till You Drop to Bring You ‘EAT’

The film is scheduled for release November 18th on digital stores including Amazon, Google Play, iTunes, Vudu nand Xbox Movies.

Jimmy Weber wrote and directed the pic, which played at Sitges Film Festival last month.

Meggie Maddock, Ali Frances, Jeremy Make, and Dakota Pike star in this grisly effort which marks the latest release under The Orchard’s partnership with ShockTillYouDrop.com

“I’ve seen so many horror films, it’s hard to find one that gets me to squirm in my seat, but Jimmy succeeded with Eat. He has served up a clever, entertaining and extreme tale that really goes for the throat,” says Ryan Turek, Managing Editor of Shock Till You Drop.

In the film, Novella McClure is an aspiring but aging actress staring desperation in the face. Her anxiety turns into an extreme eating disorder causing her to bite, chew and swallow her own flesh. As her personal life begins to deteriorate around her and new struggles arise, she must overcome this fatal dysfunction before it’s too late.

The Orchard’s Craig Sussman negotiated the deal with J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules of BoulderLight Pictures (Contracted, Dementia) on behalf of the filmmakers.

Annie Baker, Jimmy Weber and Jon Stevenson are producers. The film, which premiered globally at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, will be co-marketed with Shock Till You Drop.
