IFC has picked up the independent horror film Dark Summer, the latest picture from helmer Paul Solet. The film is getting a release on January 9, 2015.
In this modern ghost story, Daniel Williamson, a 17 year old on house arrest for the summer. With his mother away on business, a horrifying incident occurs, followed by an even more terrifying presence in the house.
Keir Gilchrist stars alongside Stella Maeve, Peter Stormare, Maestro Harrell and Grace Phipps. Mike Le penned the script.
This is Solet’s first film since he debuted on the genre scene with Grace in 2009.
