So, the following video was sent my way. It’s a preview for a new web series called Slash/Up and it apparently pits Sarah Connor of the Terminator films against Jason Voorhees. What sense does that make?
Slash/Up‘s goal, according to a synopsis I was sent, is to “pit a different set of retro movie/geek culture icons against each in a totally unique, story driven mashup, wrapped around by debate and commentary.”
In the first episode, which kicks off on October 14th, “Sarah Connor does battle with Jason Voorhees.” The trailer itself? I have to sit here and wonder how much money they’re throwing at this because it’s slick, for sure. The team behind this is the same one behind the Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness video that was promptly pulled by Marvel. I’d like to see them throw their cash at some original stuff! Still, this looks entertaining.
