Halloween Night Short Film Debut: Bits and Pieces

Welcome to the second entry in our “Halloween Night” film series in which a handful of indie directors came together to whip a series of shorts that take place on our favorite night of the year.  We began with Mickey Keating’s “Trick.”  Today, we give you director Jenn Wexler‘s “Bits and Pieces,” starring Larry Fessenden and Hanna Cheek.

Wexler is a writer-director based out of Brooklyn.  Her first two shorts, “Halloween Bash” and “Slumber Party,” played horror fests including Viscera Film Festival and Shriekfest Film Festival. She manages marketing and digital for Larry Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix.  She served as a post-production coordinator on Ti West’s The Sacrament and is an associate producer on Fessenden’s Beneath and the acclaimed genre audio series, Tales from Beyond the Pale.

“Growing up, my mother had a ton of rules for us when it came to trick-or-treating, and maybe the one that she stressed the most was that we should never, ever enter anyone’s home,” Wexler says of her  contribution to “Halloween Night.”  “So of course I was always intrigued by what the mysterious man who lived down the street might be hiding…”
