We’ll just cut right to the chase here: Thomas Jane, Billy Bob Thornton and James Marsen have been cast in Red Machine, a classic man versus nature tale that pits the trio against one pissed off grizzly. Jack Reher penned the script and Saw 5 director David Hackl is sitting at the helm.
Marsden and Jane will play estranged brothers on a camping trip who become targets of the bear – or, “the Red Machine” – and Thornton is a bad-ass bear hunter.
The thriller was originally announced in 2010, however, it is now fully financed and ready to roll in Canada.
And, yes, a real bear will be used.
