File under, “Dude, I don’t think anyone cares and don’t you have enough money, anyway?”
Actor Jesse Eisenberg is reportedly peeved that it appears he is the star of Camp Hell, released direct-to-DVD in August.
He is filing a lawsuit against distributors Lionsgate (its home entertainment division released the film) and Grindstone Entertainment. Says the complaint: “Eisenberg is bringing this lawsuit in order to warn his fans and the public that, contrary to the manner in which Defendants are advertising the film, Eisenberg is not the star of and does not appear in a prominent role in Camp Hell.”
As you can see in the image on the left, the DVD cover made it look like he was the star. His appearance is nothing more than a cameo. Of course, advertising “name” actors in small roles isn’t anything new and has been practiced for decades. Still, Eisenberg is being touchy and asking for $3 million.
