The comic book adaptation of R.I.P.D. has added Mary-Louise Parker to the cast.
Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon and Stephanie Szostak also star.
Variety says she is playing a role that Jodie Foster was circling, but ultimately passed on. The part is a “woman overseeing the division who explains to Reynolds’ character what has happened when he dies.”
Based on the Dark Horse comic book of the same name, R.I.P.D. focuses on the “Rest In Peace Department” where a murdered cop comes back from the dead to find his killer.
