Jumping into the 2011 summer fray
Perhaps it was too ambitious to think that Scott Stewart’s Priest, a horror-actioner heavy on FX, could make its release in 2010.
Sony penciled in a fall release date, then they shoved it to March 2011. Now it’s on the move again to May 13, 2011, echoing a similar release date shuffle Stewart’s feature debut, Legion, faced before hitting theaters earlier this year.
So far, it faces no genre competition that month, however, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides opens a week later on May 26.
