Cameron now involved to direct?
James Cameron and Zack Snyder are reportedly the latest two directors who want to get involved in David Fincher’s long-gestating revival of Heavy Metal.
Paramount fumbled the project in 2008. Later that year, co-creator Kevin Eastman told the Playlist that Sony picked it up, however, Deadline’s update says it’s still looking for financiers and a distributor. That shouldn’t bee too hard given the names floating around Metal‘s many director seats.
Last year, Rob Zombie was approached.
Heavy Metal magazine spawned a 1981 film and a sequel in 2000.
