Possession, bikers, Shepis, Rockabillies…
At the official Facebook page for The Violent Kind you’ll find a couple of things. But what we dug the hell out of is this one-sheet you see below and the “genre” it was categorized as: “Horror/WTF.”
What is it, though? It’s the latest film from the Butcher Bros. (The Hamiltons) and it just got accepted into Sundance. Shot earlier this year in northern California, the cast includes Cory Knauf, Christina Prousalis, Taylor Cole, Tiffany Shepis, Bret Roberts, Nick Tagas, Joe Egender, Joseph McKelheer and Samuel Child.
Check out this synopsis: One night at a secluded farmhouse deep in the Northern California woods, a small group of hardened young bikers and their girlfriends are tormented when one of the girls becomes savagely possessed and a gang of “Rockabillies” seemingly from the 1950’s descends upon them to collect what is growing inside her.
