Harsh words for Lionsgate sequel
It appears director Ti West is skirting Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever like the plague. The House of the Devil helmer told audiences at the UK FrightFest that “wishes to disown it.” That’s according to Slash Film’s correspondent who attended the event.
“According to him, his edit was like a John Waters or Todd Solondz film (yes, really) and featured heart wipes and star wipes (erâ¦) and that the current version is much less esoteric and idiosyncratic. Yeah, West…but is it any better?”
Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever has been sitting on the shelf at Lionsgate for some time now. Early reports from those who have seen it have told Shock it’s a “good time,” bloody as hell and pretty mindless fun. But when will it hit DVD? We’re hearing sometime in 2010.
