The archetypal jock has been cast
A vampire from Twilight will lose his strength in the face of Freddy Krueger for Samuel Bayer’s A Nightmare on Elm Street.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Kellan Lutz will play the film’s high school jock. The big lug joins Jackie Earle Haley, Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner and Thomas Dekker. He also starred in another slasher redo, 2008’s Prom Night.
The new Nightmare begins shooting May 5th in Chicago for Platinum Dunes. The film opens April 16, 2010.
