Zombie Photo from Romero’s New Dead Flick

“It’s about tribalism…”

A photo fresh (or, not so fresh) from the set of George Romero’s untitled zombie film graced the web pages of USA Today.

Romero tells the paper his sixth zomie venture is “about tribalism. There are two factions. It’s the idea that even when faced with a crisis, tribal concerns about power control people’s motives.” The plot picks up a mere weeks after the original outbreak in Night of the Living Dead and is set on an island where a faction of the inhabitants want to kill off loved ones before they’re zombified.

Shooting is now taking place in Toronto.
