Buried in a story concerning Magnet’s aquisition of Toby Wilkins’ Splinter (first reported last November), Variety states ContentFilm has picked up international rights to Release.
The horror-comedy directed by Stephen Leslie rolls cameras this April in Manitoba, Canada. Sorry, no plot details were released. Damian Jones (Millions) is producing with Cinetic (Splice) financing and overseeing U.S. rights. Leslie dabbled in short film and television work since ’94 when he directed “I Was Catherine the Great’s Stable Boy.”
