Rare horror classics screening in L.A.
The New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles, most recently, welcomed Shaun of the Dead helmer Edgar Wright to program a mini-fest entitled “The Wright Stuff.” Movie-goers were treated to a wide range of flicks near and dear to his lil’ British heart.
Now it is Eli Roth’s turn.
You want to know what makes this man tick? What influenced films like Cabin Fever and the “Hostel” series? Then look no further than “The Greats of Roth,” a two-week film fest programmed by the media-lovin’ director.
The festival is comprised of several of Roth’s favorite films, many of which are difficult to find cult classics rarely shown on the big screen. Roth will introduce select screenings, schedule permitting. The double features have been selected with tremendous care, and will give audiences members a chance to watch these films as they were meant to be seen â on the big screen, with an enthusiastic audience.
