Sony’s remake of the Spanish horror film Rec
Now that shooting on the second season of Showtime’s “Dexter” is complete, actress Jennifer Carpenter is moving on to off-season projects such as Quarantine, Screen Gems’ American remake of the upcoming Spanish horror film Rec.
According to Black Film, she’s joining Jay Hernandez (of the “Hostel” movies), Columbus Short (Whiteout), Steve Harris (Minority Report) and Jonathan Schaech (Prom Night). One can presume Carpenter will play the film’s news reporter who, one evening, is trapped in a quarantined apartment building with her camera man after a vicious strain of rabies breaks out.
John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle (The Poughkeepsie Tapes) will direct.
