In celebration of next month’s much-anticipated Captain America: Civil War, ABC‘s Jimmy Kimmel Live will welcome the stars of the film, as well as their Marvel friends, for an action-packed week of shows!
On Monday, April 11, Jimmy Kimmel Live will welcome Team Captain America with guests Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie and Paul Rudd. The Marvel extravaganza then continues on Tuesday, April 12, with the debut of the Doctor Strange trailer. Star Benedict Cumberbatch will exclusively debut the first trailer with Agents of SHIELD star Clark Gregg also appearing on the Tuesday night show. This will be followed by a second Civil War cast appearance on Wednesday, April 13, as Team Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Emily Van Camp, Chadwick Boseman, and Paul Bettany) takes the stage! The week concludes on Thursday, April 14, with Thor himself (and star of The Huntsman: Winter’s War) Chris Hemsworth.
Doctor Strange also stars Tilda Swinton (Only Lovers Left Alive) as The Ancient One and Benedict Wong as Doctor Strange’s humble servant, Wong, and, in undisclosed roles, Rachel McAdams (The Vow), Michael Stuhlbarg (Pawn Sacrifice), Scott Adkins (The Bourne Ultimatum), Amy Landecker (“Transparent”), and Mads Mikkelsen (“Hannibal”).
The film is scripted by Jon Spaihts (Prometheus, Passengers) and directed by Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Deliver Us From Evil). Doctor Strange tells the story of Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch), an acclaimed neurosurgeon who uncovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions after a near-fatal car accident, showing audiences corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe never before explored.
Joe and Anthony Russo’s Captain America: Civil War hits the big screen Friday, May 6 with Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange arriving Friday, November 4, 2016.
Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:35|10:35c on ABC.
