Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Director Dan Trachtenberg on 10 Cloverfield Lane

Paramount Pictures provided us with the chance to interview 10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg, as well as the suspense thriller’s lovely star Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Watch our fun chats below to get the low-down on the secretive production process that ties 10 Cloverfield Lane to its spiritual predecessor Cloverfield, as well as what one movie Trachtenberg and Winstead would take with them into a survivalist bunker for a year. Winstead also tells us whether or not she would be in a third movie in the Cloververse!

About the Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot release, producer J.J. Abrams confirmed it’s not a direct sequel to 2008’s Cloverfield and said: “The idea came up a long time ago during production. We wanted to make it a blood relative of ‘Cloverfield.’ The idea was developed over time. We wanted to hold back the title for as long as possible.”

Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, the March 11, 2016 release begins evening engagements tonight in theaters everywhere. It stars John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher Jr., with a script written by Josh Campbell & Matthew Stuecken and Damien Chazelle.
