Michael Pena and Nick Swardson are in negotiations to star alongside Danny McBride and Aziz Ansari in Media Rights Capital’s 30 Minutes or Less, says The Hollywood Reporter. Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) starts shooting the Universal release this summer.
The film centers on a junior high history teacher (Ansari) and a pizza-delivery man who are forced to rob a bank when one of them is strapped to a bomb vest. (McBride is one of the men looking to score some cash.)
Pena will play a tatooed assassin, while Swardson (“Reno 911”) will play McBride’s best friend.
Michael Diliberti and Matthew Sullivan wrote the script.
