Production Weekly is reporting that 20th Century Fox’s Planet of the Apes prequel Caesar has opened production offices at Mammoth Studios in Burnaby, BC. To be directed by Rupert Wyatt, the film is scheduled to start shooting mid-July.
Also, the project that has kept Bryan Singer from taking on X-Men: First Class, New Line/Warner Bros.’ Jack the Giant Killer, will shoot in London and Iceland beginning in July.
The movie takes an adult look at the Jack and the Beanstalk legend. When a princess is kidnapped, a long-standing peace between men and giants becomes threatened, and a young farmer is given an opportunity to lead a dangerous expedition to the giant kingdom to rescue her.
