Summit Entertainment has acquired the pitch Puzzle Palace via a competitive auction among several studios. The screenplay will be written by burgeoning screenwriter David Guggenheim. The film will be produced by Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen via their Temple Hill Entertainment banner. Adam Kolbrenner of Madhouse will executive produce.
The premise of the film is currently being kept under wraps.
Guggenheim most recently sold his spec script Safe House to Universal Pictures, which the studio is fast tracking with Scott Stuber producing.
Godfrey and Bowen recently produced Dear John and the latest installment in the “Twilight” film series: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. The pair are currently in production on the Will Ferrell comedy Everything Must Go.
Erik Feig, Summit’s President of Production, and Jean Song, Summit’s Vice President of Production, will oversee the project for the studio.
