Deadline Hollywood is reporting that “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner is now attached to yet another project (in addition to Max Steel and Stretch Armstrong and Northern Lights), while Russell Brand has landed a new comedy.
Lautner will star in Abduction as a teen who has long felt disconnected from his parents, and figures out why, which unleashes a chain of violent events. Shawn Christensen wrote the script.
Meanwhile, Russell Brand is attached to star in William and Scott Bindley’s pitch about a David Beckham-like millionaire soccer star/playboy who gets arrested in a West Texas and sentenced to community service. His task: coach the hapless local high school soccer team in a Friday Night Lights town.
