It looks like James Cameron’s Avatar will have some major staying power with positive word-of-mouth as the box office hit earned another $16.4 million on Monday to bring its domestic total to $93.4 million after just four days in release.
While we don’t know how much the film earned internationally on Monday yet, over the weekend it brought in $165.5 million overseas, putting its worldwide total at $258.9 million.
With Christmas coming up, we expect Avatar to continue to perform strong. We’ll update when more numbers come in this week.
