‘Diary of a Teenage Girl’, ‘Backcountry’ and Lego ‘Brickumentary’ in Today’s MPAA Ratings Bulletin

Nothing too interesting in today’s MPAA ratings bulletin as we begin with a movie that was already released and appears to have scored an MPAA rating merely for Showtime showings. That is Backcountry, a backwoods horror/survival film. You can read my review here and find the reason for its R-rating below.

Next is The Diary of a Teenage Girl, which made a bit of a splash at Sundance earlier this year and stars Bel Powley, Alexander Skarsgård, Christopher Meloni and Kristen Wiig. On top of the rating, the first trailer just premiered, check it out here.

Otherwise, there’s a G-rating for A LEGO Brickumentary which will arrive on July 31 from Radius and Creep, a horror/comedy from Blumhouse and Radius that will be hitting the VOD on July 14.
