The Hollywood Reporter says that R&B singer-songwriter Ne-Yo, Ramon Rodriguez, Taylor Handley, Cory Hardrict, Jadin Gould, Bryce Cass and Joey King will star in director Jonathan Liebesman’s sci-fi film Battle: Los Angeles.
They are joining the previously-announced Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Bridget Moynahan and Michael Pena in the Columbia Pictures project.
Ne-Yo plays a corporal in the platoon. Rodriguez, Handley and Hardrict are members of the platoon fighting the invading aliens. Cass, Gould and King are kids trapped in a community center.
Principal photography is starting this week in Shreveport, Louisiana. Neal Moritz is producing.
