Relativity Media just sent over 19 new pictures from Tarsem Singh’s Immortals and we are finally getting out of the grimy dirt and war pictures and getting a bit more of the stark imagery we expect from a Tarsem film. Whether you like the images or not, I think this latest batch of photos proves this isn’t the 300 meets Clash of the Titans film all the previous stills and trailers made it appear to be.
Yes, the battle scenes definitely have that 300 vibe and the story definitely brings to mind the warring of the Gods in Clash of the Titans, but that image above of Daniel Sharman as Ares and Isabel Lucas as Athena on Mount Olympus is definitely more The Fall than anything we have seen to this point.
You can browse the complete gallery of 60 photos right here, but I have included seven select images from the 19 new ones in the thumbnail gallery below. You can mouse over each for a description, but the first image in the gallery is a shot of the Gods atop Mount Olympus.
Do these new photos give you different impression of this film? Do they change your expectations?
