Steve Carell Reunites with Woody Allen for 2016 Film

Actor Steve Carell will be joining Woody Allen’s latest project, replacing Bruce Willis who left the project last week

One of the things about Woody Allen filming his untitled summer 2016 release in Los Angeles, his first time filming there in decades, is that there are a lot more eyes (and cameras) keeping tabs on every facet of the project, something the Oscar-winning filmmaker hasn’t had to contend with as much on previous films.

A day after photos of Bruce Willis on set hit the internet, it was reported that he was leaving the project due to his commitments to bring Stephen King’s “Misery” to Broadway. (Rumors circulated that Willis was let go by Allen because he didn’t feel he was right for the role.)

Now Deadline is claiming the scoop that actor Steve Carell will be reuniting with Woody Allen for the first time in over ten years to replace Willis in said role. Carell previously appeared in the 2004 dramedy Melinda and Melinda and now he’ll be joining the cast, which includes Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Jeannie Berlin, Corey Stoll, Ken Stott, Anna Camp, Stephen Kunken, Sari Lennick and Paul Schneider.

Besides filming in Los Angeles, Allen will also shoot some scenes in New York.
