Bryce Dallas Howard talks Pete’s Dragon at the D23 Expo
At Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, California this weekend, the crowd was shown some footage from the remake of the classic Disney film Pete’s Dragon. The first film was released in 1977, and the basic story is the same. However, the film will not be a musical and Bryce Dallas Howard plays a brand-new role.
Backstage, ComingSoon.net talked with Howard about her role, which is a park ranger who finds a little boy in the woods. She can’t figure out how he survived on his own. Howard talked about her kids and how important playing this role was for her as a mom. She gave us a bit more information about what we’re going to see as well. Pete’s Dragon is the next in a series of live-action versions of classic Disney films, including Beauty and the Beast, Maleficent and Cinderella.
Check out the video below and let us know which classic films you’d like to see a live-action version of. Pete’s Dragon stars Howard, Oakes Fegley, Oona Lawrence, Robert Redford, Wes Bentley and Karl Urban and will hit theaters on August 12, 2016.
