An open casting call for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is underway!
Want to play a major part in the Wizarding World? If you’re a young lady between the ages of eight and 12 and you have a passion for acting, you might be in luck! According to Sky News, an open casting call is underway to find one of the leads for the upcoming “Harry Potter” franchise spinoff, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them!
The role in question is that of Modesty, described as being a “haunted young girl with an inner strength and stillness” and it is noted that any applicants must have a free schedule between August and January. If that sounds like it could be you, head to London’s Excel Centre this Saturday at 9am.
Already set to star Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol and Dan Fogler, the David Yates-directed film follows Newt Scamander (Redmayne), the Wizarding World’s preeminent magizoologist, who in his travels has encountered and documented a myriad of magical creatures, ultimately leading to his penning the Hogwarts School textbook “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”
The film is being produced by David Heyman, producer of all eight of the blockbuster Harry Potter features; J.K. Rowling; Steve Kloves, who scripted all but one of the Harry Potter films; and Lionel Wigram, who served as an executive producer on the last four installments of the franchise. J.K. Rowling wrote the screenplay.
Warner Bros. Pictures has the first Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them set for a worldwide release in 3D and IMAX on November 18, 2016.
