Untraceable Found on DVD

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s Untraceable topped the national DVD sales chart in its first week, while Anchor Bay Entertainment’s Mad Money was the No. 1 renter for the week ending May 18.

Untraceable, which grossed $28.7 million at the box office, narrowly topped the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart for the week, with Genius Products’ The Great Debaters at No. 2.

The “Adventures of Indiana Jones” boxed set debuted at No. 3, just ahead of Mad Money, which came in at No. 4.

Mad Money generated an estimated $7.3 million in revenue to take the top slot on Home Media Magazine’s video rental chart for the week. Untraceable bowed at No. 2 with earnings estimated at $6.9 million. Warner’s P.S. I Love You, the previous week’s top renter, slipped to No. 3 with $5.9 million, while “Debaters” debuted at No. 4 with $5.5 million.

Disney’s The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe was the week’s top Blu-ray Disc seller. Untraceable debuted at No. 2.
