It’s safe to say that the characters on “Entourage” don’t have too many hangups about materialism, hence it seems rather appropriate that the story of how Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) came out of retirement for the Entourage movie should be told via a 4-minute short film that is also an advertisement for Cadillac’s Ciel concept car. Check out the short film below!
“Ari’s in what seems to be the most romantic place on earth with his wife but clearly communicates it’s not where he’s supposed to be or wants to be,” creator/director Doug Ellin told The Hollywood Reporter, adding that he was unable to find a place for the scene in the movie itself. “I thought people would want to know what Ari has been doing since the show ended, so it was a perfect opportunity to do that and make a separate short film.”
Written and directed by series creator Doug Ellin, the big-screen version of the hit show “Entourage” stars Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Jeremy Piven in their original roles, as well as Billy Bob Thornton and Haley Joel Osment as Larsen and Travis McCredle. The film also reunites series regulars Perrey Reeves as Ari Gold?’s wife, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Sloan, and Rhys Coiro as Billy Walsh.
Entourage is produced by Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson and Ellin, with Wayne Carmona serving as executive producer. The creative filmmaking team includes director of photography Steve Fierberg, production designer Chase Harlan, and costume designer Olivia Miles-Payne, all of whom worked on the long-running HBO series.
Movie star Vincent Chase (Grenier), together with his boys, Eric (Connolly), Turtle (Ferrara) and Johnny (Dillon), are back? and back in business with super agent-turned-studio head Ari Gold (Piven). Some of their ambitions have changed, but the bond between them remains strong as they navigate the capricious and often cutthroat world of Hollywood.
Warner Bros. Pictures will release Entourage in theaters nationwide on June 5, 2015.
